Classes & Parties

Here at The Sugar Art House, I provide a fun cake decorating course suitable for children aged 8 and above. Within these, fully inclusive two and a half hour creative classes, they will get a chance to learn how to decorate and design like junior professionals!

Autumn term, we will cover:

– How to make an autumnal scene in sugar
– How to make a 3D decorative cake (cake topper, board design…etc)

Winter term, we will cover: TBC

These sugar craft classes will be run following the school term and will be hosted on Saturdays in 2 groups – morning & afternoon.

Morning group: 10:00am – 12:30pm
Afternoon group: 2:00pm – 4:30pm

Price: £40 per class (all tools and materials included)

Here at the Sugar Art House, the classes are designed to accommodate any skill level – from a beginner to a more experienced sugar-crafter.

You will learn step by step how to:

– Simple Modelling
– Sugar Flowers
– Covering dummy and real cakes
– Gelatine Flowers
– Coco-butter painting
– Intricate and simple decorations for any celebration or season

I run sugarcraft parties where the children do the hard work instead of you! With a sugarcraft party, all you have to do is relax and watch the children delight in making their own art in the form of edible sugary treats. This innovative entertainment is suitable for all ages 7 and above. The complexity of particular sugarcraft activities will obviously depend on the age groups at the event.

During a Sugarcraft Party, the children will spend a fun couple of hours hand-making some attractive and delectable treats which they can eat straight away while we restore the kitchen to order. So, all you have to do is provide the venue with suitable equipment such as a sink and tables, and we do the rest!

They will learn step by step how to make:

– Simple Modelling
– Basic Sugar Flowers
– Decorate cupcakes and miniature cakes

Further, I can also provide a cake for a discounted price which can be confirmed upon the agreed design.

Please note:

Maximum of 8 children who will partake in these sugary activities

– Duration of entertainment is 2 hours
– The fee is £40 per child
– All essential equipment provided

*An additional £15 mileage fee will be charged to all local venues which incur travel (within a 15-mile radius). Travel to venues outside of the local area will incur an additional mileage cost.
